
Dr. Brian Slywka |
Dr. Brian Slywka was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and raised in nearby Blaine Lake by his parents of Ukranian descent. Born a Canadian, he is a life-long hockey fan and plays wih his pals whenever he can. Incidentally, Slywka (pronounced "slew-ka") means “plum” in the Ukranian language.
Dr. Slywka is a graduate of the medical school at the University of Saskatchewan and did his internship and general surgery residency at Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan, an affiliate of the medical school of the University of Michigan. He did his specialty training in plastic surgery at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago.
He specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. His surgeries are performed in-house at the outpatient surgical suite in the Plastic Surgery Center of Thousand Oaks and he is affiliated with Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks and Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital.
Dr. Slywka continually updates his approaches and knowledge of plastic surgery through printed and electronic media, seminars and plastic surgery conventions. |

| Sue Ann Ferraro RN, BSN, MSN Nurse Practioner received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of California Los Angeles. She has been a nurse since 1983, and although her background is in pediatrics, she has specialized in Aesthetic Nursing since 1999. Known nationally as an expert in teaching and performing cosmetic nursing, she is well versed in the most advanced techniques for optimal skin care and the use of injectables such as Botox, Juvederm and Restylane. She is also a Clinical Applications Specialist for Cutera lasers. |
Cindy Jacobson RN,BSN, CRNA, MS
received her Associate and Bachelors degrees from Loma Linda University where she practiced in neonatal ICU. She received her Masters in Anesthesia and Anesthesia Certification in Minneapolis. Ms Jacobson has been providing quality anesthesia for Dr. Slywka since 1984 as well as working at UCLA, Kaiser Woodland Hills and other local free-standing surgical facilities. |
Lois Remely RN, BSN, CRNA, MS
received her BSN from Cincinnati University of Ohio, and her Master of Science in Anesthesia at UCLA. Prior to private practice, Ms Remely was an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA medical college in the department of Nurse Anesthesia. She has over twenty years of experience administering anesthesia in a variety of clinical settings. She served six years on the California Association of Nurse Anesthetist (CANA) board of directors, including one year as president. She continues to be an active member in CANA and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. |

Vickie RN
Vickie is a Registered Nurse who has spent numerous years in plastic surgery. She has been the supervisor of a large plastic surgical group and now is a surgical assistant in the operating room with Dr. Slywka. |
Kathleen ORST
Kathleen has over 25 years experience with Dr. Slywka. She is the supervisor for the Plastic Surgery Center of Thousand Oaks, and is a senior Surgical Tech and a licensed EMT provider. She assists in all areas of patient care |
Anne RN
Anne is a Registered Nurse who has worked with Dr. Slywka for many years. She is a surgical assistant, and OR recovery nurse and does patient care in our clinic rooms. |
